Lots of snow, virtually endless sunshine, and 360-degree panoramic views: the Tauplitz is an absolute treat. It’s also the biggest single ski area in Styria – and probably the best freeride terrain the region has to offer. And let’s not forget those beautiful winter hiking trails! This is the kind of place that warms your heart.
On 43 kilometers of slopes, most of them above the treeline, there is something for every skier and snowboarder: Sporty, long descents next to the 8-passenger Mitterstein gondola for those with lots of strength and skill. Gentle turns on the broad deep-snow slopes of the Lawinenstein and Schneiderkogel – for families and everyone who prefers a mellower, more laid-back style of skiing. In 2024, we were named test winner in the category “Leading Ski Area up to 60 km of Slopes” by Skiresort.de.
Ski depot: At the Tauplitz valley station, a comfortable ski depot awaits. Thanks to heated lockers, your day of skiing begins with dry boots and warm toes – super pleasant, and no need to ever haul your gear around again!

Purchase your ski pass at the ski resort
You can pick up your ski pass at our ticket windows in Tauplitz, at the toll station in Bad Mitterndorf as well as the Mitterstein and Lawinenstein valley stations, or via our online shop.
